Why Todd Boehly should be blamed and not Graham Potter for Chelsea having just 2 wins in 14 games

The man who should be blamed for Chelsea being 10th place in the league and having just 2 wins in 14 games is Chelsea owner Todd Boehly and not Chelsea manager Graham Potter.

Potter was under-qualified to be Chelsea boss but Boehly, who has no knowledge about football opted to sack Thomas Tuchel, a Champions League winning manager, for a novice from Brighton.

Former Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich would never have appointed Potter as Chelsea boss. The former Brighton boss would never have graced Chelsea’s managerial shortlist.

Reports emerged today that Boehly is copying the Manchester City model but Chelsea are closer to the Manchester United model under former Chief Executive Ed Woodward.

Manchester City appointed a known winner in Pep Guardiola and backed the Spanish tactician. They didn’t appoint a novice like Boehly did by appointing Potter as Chelsea boss.

Boehly is just like former Manchester United chief Woodward, a businessman with no knowledge of football, making managerial appointments. Manchester United hired a certain Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and we all know how it turned out. I just see the same playing out at Chelsea with Potter.

I really don’t blame Potter for Chelsea’s failure. He didn’t appoint himself as Chelsea boss. I blame Boehly who felt Potter was good enough for Chelsea.

    Exactly so.

  2. If possible let sack Potter

  3. Get a good coach then back him, you will see results. Manchester City Pep was never a complete loser like Potter as it is or was when he was given the chance. They were still competing… Potter is just too flat..
