Chelsea have won just two games in our last 13 games in all competitions under Graham Potter and looking at his spell as Brighton boss, it’s a pattern Potter has always had.
Potter had long spells without victories in his three full seasons as Brighton boss so Chelsea’s current form under Potter is definitely no surprise.
According to @MarioBlues_, Potter won just 5 home games out of 19 in his first season as Brighton boss. He also had a run of no wins in 6 homes games and 1 win in 11 games.
Between November 10/2019 to March 03/2020, Brighton won just two games in 18 Premier League games, losing 8 and drawing 8.

In his second season as Brighton boss, Potter won just 4 games out of 19 home games. He also had a run of no wins in 10 consecutive home games and set a club record of 14 home games without a win at Brighton.
Also from September 26/2020 to Jan 2 /2021, Potter won only once in 15 premier league games while drawing 8 & losing 6.

After finishing 15th in his first season as Brighton boss and 16th in his second season, Potter finished 9th in his third season but still had a winless run.
Potter had a run of 3 wins in 25 games in his third season as Brighton boss. He also only won 5 home games out of 19 games as Brighton boss.

Potter had a 28% win rate as Brighton boss and averaged 1.28 points per game. As Chelsea boss, Potter has averaged 1.42 points per game and has a 37% win percentage. Even the worst Chelsea managers in the Roman Abramovich era had better win percentages and points per game.
Chelsea have struggled to score goals under Potter and that is also a pattern as Brighton struggled to score goals under Potter. There was a time during his spell as Brighton boss when fans urged his team to shoot as they became frustrated over their team’s inability to score goals.
Potter might be a good coach in first second phase build up & defensive organisation but he’s poor final third coach. Brighton have become a free scoring team under their new boss De Zerbi. It’s no coincidence.
Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital had no business appointing Potter as Chelsea boss. He was and will never be good enough to be Chelsea boss.
Truth be told, Potter was overhyped. He was never as good as the media claimed he was.
