According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos is set to join Brazilian club Palmeiras on loan until December, which is the end of the Brazilian football season.

Chelsea signed the 18 year old midfielder from Vasco da Gama in January but he is currently unable to play for the Blues after failing to secure a work permit.

Romano also revealed Santos is set to undergo a medical at Palmeiras and Chelsea will have a clause to recall the midfielder in June.

Romano tweeted: “Andrey Santos will travel to Brazil on Sunday in order to complete his loan move to Palmeiras valid until December, end of Brazilian season – medical at the beginning of next week if all goes to plan.

“Chelsea have a clause to re-call Andrey in June.”
