Chelsea boss Graham Potter has explained why Thiago Silva, Reece James, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Hakim Ziyech were dropped from the matchday squad for today’s Premier League game against Southampton.

“No, we don’t have any injuries, we are just using this as a chance to rest a few players who have a little bit of fatigue,” Potter said.

“It’s the circumstances we find ourselves in and we just have to be careful with those players.

“We’ve picked a side that we feel can be fresh and be powerful against a team fighting for points.”

supporting Chelsea is now a problem Toddy Boely should also here what’s in fanbase we are tired of Graham Potter let him leave

  2. There is no any necessary reason

  3. Can someone remind this guy, Potter that this isn’t preseason but season itself.. This guy has no idea how to coach. Maybe the new owners aren’t Chelsea fans in the first place, they’re in to bring this great down to lowest state. Lambard is even 10000x better than this guy called Potter. He’s Potter get him a clay and not a team.

  4. Why resting them, what are they doing in Chelsea? That’s what you do when you play for bigger club. This guy should not place Chelsea at the same level with Brighton. We’re not even playing in FA cup, Carling Cup, Premier League and Champion League the way we use to. Yet this small club man is complaining? This is a clear indication that this guy has not come to the reality of where he is at this particular point in time. I hate the idea of bringing bottom club coach to coach an elite club, it doesn’t make any sense.
