According to Calciomercato via The Hard Tackle, Barcelona will challenge Liverpool for the transfer of Chelsea star Mason Mount.

Mount will have just one year left on his Chelsea contract and has so far failed to reach an agreement with the club over a new contract.

Chelsea legend and former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard gave Mount his Chelsea debut and the midfielder has so far made 190 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 33 goals and assisting 37 more.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp reportedly believes he can resurrect Mount’s career while Barcelona see Mount as excellent upgrade on Franck Kessie.
