Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has hailed the signing of Portugal international Joao Felix from Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

The Blues signed Felix on loan from Atletico Madrid until the end of the season for a loan fee of around £9.7million.

Speaking about the impact of Felix and his goal against Crystal Palace, Loftus-Cheek said: “It was a fantastic goal, a great finish from Joao who is settling in really well. He’s a great addition to the team.”

Meanwhile, Felix has declared he wants to win the Champions League this season with Chelsea.

On Wednesday, the Blues travel to Germany for a Champions League second round clash against Borussia Dortmund.

“I love the atmosphere in the Premier League,” Joao Felix told The Fifth Stand after the West Ham game.

“Now it’s about focusing on the next game. It’s the Champions League — that’s the competition we want to win. Our Champions League starts on Wednesday and it needs to be ours.”
