According to a report on Daily Star, West Ham have warned Chelsea that Declan Rice can only be signed for £120million in the summer.
With his contract set to expire in the July 2024, this summer will be West Ham’s last chance to cash in on the dynamic midfielder, before he can leave on a free transfer.
The £120million being demanded by West Ham for the transfer of Rice would eclipse the £107million Chelsea paid Benfica for Argentinian World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez last month.
Rice has made 222 appearances for the Hammers ever since he made his debut in the 2016/17 season. He also has 39 caps for England, playing a pivotal role in the Three Lions’ run to the Euro 2020 final and the World Cup quarter-final.
Premier League rivals Manchester United are also interested in signing the midfielder in the summer.
