Atletico Madrid are hoping Joao Felix will impress during his loan spell at Chelsea so the Blues will be willing to pay their asking price of €140million for the Portugal international, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Felix joined Chelsea on loan during the January transfer window and the Blues have no option or obligation to make the forward’s stay permanent after this season.

Felix has no plans to return to Atletico Madrid in the summer when his loan spell at Chelsea ends if Diego Simeone is still the manager of the Spanish side.

If Chelsea decide against signing Felix in the summer after his loan spell at the club, Atletico Madrid hope he does so well at Stamford Bridge that other clubs could come in for him in the summer.

Felix was sent off on his Chelsea debut against Fulham and that forced him to miss the last three league games.
