Premier League rivals Manchester City have confirmed their interest in signing Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell, according to The Times as per Manchester Evening News.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is keen on signing Chilwell in the summer, with Guardiola seeing the Chelsea left-back as the ideal player to solve Manchester City’s left-back problems.
Chilwell, 26, has suffered an injury-hit campaign at Stamford Bridge, with fellow full-back Marc Cucurella often preferred by Graham Potter.
The England international has made 15 appearances this season for Chelsea and did feature late on in the 0-0 draw with Fulham on Friday.
Guardiola is known to have been a long-term admirer of Chilwell, having considered triggering his £42million release clause in 2020, before he made the move to Chelsea.
