Chelsea are ready to break the British transfer record to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in the summer, according to Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Nigerian forward has been in fabulous form this season and continued his impressive run on Sunday by scoring twice in a 3-0 Serie A win at Spezia.

Osimhen has scored 16 goals in 17 league appearances for Napoli this season, helping the Italian side to go 13 points clear of Inter Milan at the top of the Serie A table.

Napoli are expecting bids of more than €120million for the transfer of Osimhen in the summer and Chelsea are ready to pay what it takes to secure the signing of the 24 year old Nigerian striker.

Premier League rivals Manchester United are also interested in signing the striker. Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are also reportedly interested in signing the Napoli striker.
