Chelsea boss Graham Potter has been urged to play Enzo Fernandez in a more advanced position for Chelsea.

Former Chelsea boss Glenn Hoddle was impressed with the performance of Fernandez in Chelsea’s goalless draw against Fulham on Friday night.

Despite only arriving London on Wednesday, Fernandez started the game against Fulham on Friday night.

Elegant on the ball and tough in the tackle, the Argentina World Cup star impressed at the base of Chelsea’s midfield but Hoddle feels the 22-year-old would fare even better in a more attacking role.

Hoddle told Premier League Productions: “I thought Fernandez played well he looks as though he’s going to get better and better and will probably play in a more advanced position rather than just a holder.”
