Paul Ince has urged Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount to leave the club in the summer after Chelsea spent almost £300million during the January transfer window.
Mount has made nearly 200 appearances for Chelsea since breaking into the first-team in 2019, helping the Blues win the Champions League two years ago but has struggled for form this season.
Ince believes Mount has gone ‘stale’ at Stamford Bridge and has suggested he should leave Chelsea.
“It’s a funny one really because two years ago Mason Mount was bang in form, everyone was raving about him and he was a cert to start for England,” Ince told BoyleSports.
“Since the change of manager, he’s lost his way and Chelsea are trying to sign anyone they can at the moment so there’s going to be a rejig at Stamford Bridge.
“Sometimes it’s good to have a new challenge because sometimes you can go stale if you stay at one club for too long. Mount is at an age where he needs to be playing every week. He’s a very talented player.”
