Chelsea finally confirmed the signing of Enzo Fernandez on Wednesday morning after completing the €121million transfer on Tuesday night.
Fernandez is set to replace Jorginho as Chelsea’s new No.5, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Jorginho, who sealed a £12million move to London rivals Arsenal on deadline day, was the last person to wear the No 5 shirt at Chelsea. Legendary Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien also wore the No.5 shirt during his time at Chelsea.
Fernandez wore the No.13 shirt at Benfica and wears the No.24 strip for Argentina.
