According to Sky Sports, Chelsea have agreed to pay Enzo Fernandez’s £105million release clause but both clubs are yet to reach an agreement on the structure of the deal.
Chelsea offered to pay the £105million transfer over five years in five instalments but Benfica reportedly insisted on receiving the payment over two years.
Chelsea are reportedly happy to pay over two years but requested for the initial payment to be less with the difference paid in bonuses and add-ons. Benfica are currently thinking about Chelsea’s latest offer.
Fernandez has reportedly passed his Chelsea medical after he was given permission to have the medical and is now ready to sign his Chelsea contract.
Fernandez didn’t train with Benfica today and also didn’t travel with the Benfica squad for their game tonight.
