Chelsea have now reached an agreement with Benfica to sign Argentina World Cup star Enzo Fernandez for €120million.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Fernandez will sign an eight-and-a-half year contract with Chelsea which will run until 2031.

Romano tweeted: “Enzo Fernández will sign with Chelsea until June 2031 — exactly same deal agreed on the first week of January.

“Nothing has ever changed between the player and Chelsea: he’s always been open to the move and happy to join Chelsea.”
