Italian giants Inter Milan were recently offered the chance to sign Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly, according to reports from Italy.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that an intermediary had offered Inter the chance to sign Koulibaly after Inter Milan’s failed move for Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof.
Inter Milan are keen on signing a replacement for Milan Skriniar, who is set to join French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Inter Milan were reportedly not interested in Koulibaly due to his wages at Chelsea which is around €10million per year. Inter Milan reportedly can’t afford to pay Koulibaly’s wage on top of any loan or transfer fee.
Koulibaly joined Chelsea from Napoli last summer but it hasn’t worked out for him at Chelsea so far. He has recently lost his place in the team to January signing Benoit Badiashile.
