Premier League rivals Arsenal are close to reaching an agreement to sign Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, according to The Athletic.
Arsenal have given up on their pursuit of Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo and are now advancing towards an agreement for Jorginho.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is thought to have been the driving force behind the north London side’s interest in Jorginho.
Jorginho’s Chelsea contract expires in the summer and the Blues are reportedly happy to cash in on the 31 year old midfielder this month.
Chelsea are pushing to sign Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez which would push Jorginho further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
