According to Sky Sports, Chelsea are preparing to give Enzo Fernandez his medical in Portugal.

It hasn’t yet been confirmed Benfica and Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of Fernandez.

Chelsea have offered €120million for the transfer of Fernandez and the midfielder have already agreed personal terms with Chelsea.

Fernandez is Chelsea’s top target as the Blues look to strengthen the midfield before Tuesday night’s deadline.

The £100million transfer of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa to Manchester City is the current British record transfer but that is now set to be surpassed by Chelsea’s £105million offer for Fernandez.

Fernandez only joined Benfica in the summer. They paid €10million to Argentinian side River Plate to sign him, plus a further €8million in add-ons.
