Chelsea right-back Reece James has taken to Instagram to reveal why he has been ‘distant’ as of late.
The 23-year-old has featured just 12 times for the Blues so far this season having struggled with knee injuries.
The Chelsea right-back has been quiet for weeks and has now explained why he has been ‘distant’.
“Hey world, I hope and wish you’re doing well,” James wrote on social media.
“I’ve been slightly distant recently as I’ve been focusing on myself and finding my feet again.
“Slowly getting there after a tough few months, no matter the speed the direction is all that matters.
“Never forget the past can’t be changed, but you can shape your future. I missed you and hope to see you all very soon. Stay well.”
Chelsea suffered a knee injury in Chelsea’s Champions League victory over AC Milan at the San Siro in October, which saw him miss the World Cup.
He was back in action for Chelsea’s first game after the World Cup against Bournemouth but took a knock to his knee once again.
The right-back hasn’t featured since, but he is expected to be back in the squad for the game against Fulham.
