Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo has reportedly failed to turn up for training after demanding to leave, amid interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.

Caicedo is the subject of intense interest from both Arsenal and Chelsea and is pushing to leave Brighton before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

Brighton have rejected bids for Caicedo from Arsenal and Chelsea, with the Premier League side insisting the midfielder isn’t for sale this January.

Caicedo has now reacted to Brighton’s decision to reject bids for his transfer by refusing to turn up for training, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Brighton has now told Caicedo to stay away from training until the end of the January transfer window amid speculation over his future, according to The Athletic.

He is expected to play no part in the club’s FA Cup fourth round tie against Liverpool on Sunday.

Caicedo joined Brighton from Independiente del Valle in February 2021 and is under contract on the south coach until 2025. He has made 25 appearances for Brighton since his move.
