Chelsea boss Graham Potter has spoken with Moises Caicedo in private about signing for Chelsea this month, according to transfer expert Ben Jacobs.
The 21 year old midfielder is keen on leaving Brighton this month and is attracting interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.
Caicedo has reportedly handed in a transfer request, and took to social media to publicly express his desire to leave Brighton.
Jacobs told Chelsea Fan TV: “My sense is the first club to agree a deal with Brighton will be the club that Caicedo goes to, because I don’t think that he’s got as defined loyalty to either.
“Chelsea’s interest is definitely more long-standing. And he has already held conversations as I understand it with Graham Potter.”
Potter was in charge of Brighton when Caicedo joined in 2021 and he is keen on reuniting with the midfielder at Stamford Bridge.
