Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed an unnamed English club tried to hijack Chelsea’s move for 19 year old right-back Malo Gusto.

However, the club failed in their attempts to hijack the deal as Gusto only wanted to join Chelsea.

Romano said on YouTube: “Behind the scenes another English club tried to hijack the move of Malo Gusto to Chelsea. They tried to contact Lyon.

“Another English club tried, no way. The player wanted Chelsea, Chelsea wanted the Chelsea. And so Malo Gusto is a new Chelsea player.”

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Lyon to sign Gusto for €30million, with player to remain at Lyon on loan and join Chelsea in the summer.
