Premier League side Brighton are expecting improved bids from Chelsea and Arsenal after midfielder Moises Caicedo went public with his desire to leave the club this month, according to 90min.
Arsenal saw a £60million bid for Caicedo rejected by Brighton on Friday while Chelsea have previously had a £55million bid rejected.
Brighton have been adamant all month that they will not sell Caicedo midway through the campaign but Brighton’s stance has been complicated after Caicedo went public with his desire to leave Brighton this month.
Caicedo wants Brighton to allow him join either Arsenal or Chelsea before the January transfer window closes.
Brighton are reluctant to cave into the pressure and believe selling Caicedo at this point, after his public message, would set a dangerous precedent to the rest of the squad, many of whom are also wanted elsewhere.
