Premier League sides Aston Villa and Everton have enquired about signing Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech this January, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Everton reportedly want to sign Ziyech as a possible replacement for Anthony Gordon, who is all set to join Newcastle United.

Ziyech still has two and a half years left to run on his £100,000-per-week contract at Stamford Bridge, but his long-term future at the club has been in doubt for some time now.

Romano told GiveMeSport: “English clubs are interested. Some of the ones you mentioned, like Everton and Aston Villa, are asking about the situation, but they have to pay.”

Ziyech joined Chelsea from Ajax in 2020 for £33million.
