Chelsea must pay £90million to sign Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo before the transfer window closes on Tuesday, according to The Independent.
Brighton’s stance on not selling Caicedo in January has reportedly not changed despite the midfielder’s social media post where he declared he wanted to leave.
The Brighton board believe Caicedo has been poorly advised by his new agent after publicly declaring he wants to leave Brighton amid interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.
Brighton are unwilling to sell Caicedo this month and will only change their stance on the midfielder if Chelsea or Arsenal meet their asking price.
Arsenal’s last offer of £60m was £30m short of Brighton’s valuation, while Chelsea had earlier tabled a £55m offer.
