Lyon right-back Malo Gusto would rather make the move to Chelsea this January rather than having to wait until the summer, according to 90min via Goal.

The Blues are keen on signing the 19 year old right-back to provide cover and competition for Reece James.

Gusto is reportedly pushing Lyon to sanction his move to Stamford Bridge this month.

Lyon wish to keep hold of the player until the summer, but according to Fabrizio Romano, Gusto has already agreed personal terms with the Blues, so the two teams only need agree on a fee.

Chelsea submitted an offer of £17.6million for Gusto but Lyon are reportedly willing to sell if they receive an offer of £35million.
