Chelsea have reportedly made a decision on the future of 18 year old goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina amid concerns over Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Slonina, who arrived at Stamford Bridge this January from MLS club Chicago Fire, recently made his debut for USA.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the 18-year-old is set to stay at Stamford Bridge until the summer and will not be loaned back out.
This could see him challenge Kepa and Mendy for a starting spot in Potter’s team given the uncertainty over both players’ futures at the club.
Romano tweeted: “Understand Chelsea have no plans for Gabriel Slonina to leave on loan until the end of the season. He’s expected to stay and keep working with the team.
“He became the youngest goalkeeper to debut for USA last night, also with an important save.”
