Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram has rejected a January move to Chelsea, according to FussballTransfers.

The 25 year old France international has less than six months remaining on his contract and has so far failed to extend his contract with the German club.

Chelsea were reportedly ready to sign Thuram from Borussia Monchengladbach this January rather than wait until the summer to sign him as a free agent but Thuram would prefer to see out the season with his current team.

Thuram reportedly rejected the opportunity to move to Stamford Bridge this month and will reconsider his options ahead of 2023-24.

Manchester United, Newcastle United, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan have also been linked with Thuram in recent weeks.
