Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to quickly sign Sporting CP star Pedro Porro amid fears Chelsea will attempt to hijack their move for the right-back, according to a report on Metro.
Tottenham Hotspur have already had a £30million offer for Porro rejected by Sporting CP.
Sporting CP are reluctant to let Porro leave for less than his €45million (£39.7m) release clause and Tottenham Hotspur are now prepared to pay a fee close to that which includes add-ons in order to get the deal done.
Porro is thought to have already agreed personal terms with Spurs but the 23-year-old is also of interest to Chelsea.
Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to finalise a deal for Porro as soon as possible to avoid any late drama amid fears Chelsea could hijack the deal with the Blues in the market for a right-back.
