Newcastle have launched a bid for Chelsea transfer target Anthony Gordon and Everton look ready to accept, according to FootballTransfers.
The report claims Newcastle United launched a formal offer of €39m rising to €56m in possible add-ons for 21 year old Gordon.
Chelsea had several offers for Gordon rejected by Everton last summer and the Blues reportedly remained interested in signing the 21 year old winger this January.
However, former Chelsea star Ross Barkley, who is also a graduate of the Everton academy, reportedly advised Gordon against joining Chelsea because living in London can be a distraction.
Everton’s No.10 has played 16 times in the Premier League this season, scoring three goals.
