Chelsea are set to submit a new offer for Lyon right-back Malo Gusto after the French club rejected an opening offer of €20million, according to Foot Mercato.
The report adds that Chelsea’s new offer for the 19 year old right-back will be between €30million to €40million.
Gusto has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea and is hoping both clubs reach an agreement on a transfer fee soon.
The Chelsea project under the ownership of Todd Boehly has reportedly convinced Gusto to make the move to Stamford Bridge. The Blues also promised the 19 year old right-back that he will get game time at the club.
Lyon will reportedly like to keep Gusto on loan for the rest of the season but with Chelsea needing a competition for Reece James at right-back, that seems unlikely for now.
