Chelsea have reached an agreement with Turkish club Adana Demirspor for the transfer of Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.
Sabuncuoglu tweeted: “Adana Demirspor and Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of Tiemoue Bakayoko.
“Adana Demirspor will meet with Tiemoue Bakayoko tomorrow for the terms of the contract.”
Bakayoko is currently on a two-year loan deal with Italian side AC Milan. The Frenchman had been keen on ending his loan spell with AC Milan, having not made a single appearance for the Italian side this season.
A clause in his contract states that Milan are obliged to sign him for £13million if he plays at least 45 minutes in 15 matches this season.
It’s understood Milan have no intention in turning his temporary stay into a permanent switch with the midfielder yet to feature in a single match this term.
This is despite the former Monaco star being on the bench for 16 out of their 17 matches.
Bakayoko, 28, last played for Chelsea in the 2018 FA Cup final win against Manchester United.
