Premier League rivals Arsenal are eyeing up a move for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo and will rival Chelsea in the chase for the Ecuador international this summer, according to Evening Standard.

Chelsea are keen on signing the 21 year old midfielder this January but has had a £55million bid rejected by Brighton, who are demanding £75million to sell the Ecuador World Cup star.

Caicedo is keen on joining Chelsea but won’t force through a departure from Brighton and Chelsea are now resigned to missing out on him in January.

With Chelsea now willing to wait until the summer to sign Caicedo, Arsenal are now ready to hijack Chelsea’s move for the midfielder in the summer.

Chelsea have already made the additions of David Datro Fofana, Andre Santos, Benoit Badiashile, Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix and Noni Madueke this month.
