Arsenal and Newcastle United are ready to battle Chelsea for the transfer of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, according to Sacha Tavolieri.
Onana has impressed since joining the Everton from French club Lille over the summer, scoring one and assisting another in 18 league appearances for the club.
Everton would be highly reluctant to sell Onana, even with their financial problems but Chelsea are reportedly looking to make a bid that could involve sending him back to Everton on loan, according to The Telegraph.
Everton sacked head coach Frank Lampard on Monday and, sensing an opportunity, Chelsea are looking to take advantage of the crisis that has gripped the Goodison Park club.
