Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has reportedly given the greenlight for the Blues to sign a central midfielder before the closure of the January transfer window.
According to Daily Mail, Chelsea will look to sign one of Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo or Franck Kessie this month.
Despite having previously failed in their attempt to sign Fernandez, Chelsea are set to make another for the Benfica midfielder, who is valued at €120million.
Chelsea are also considering an improved offer for Brighton’s Moises Caicedo after having a bid of £55million rejected.
Barcelona midfielder Kessie, who only joined the Spanish club last summer from Italian champions AC Milan, is also another option for Chelsea.
