Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo is keen on joining Chelsea this January, according to transfer expert Ben Jacobs.

Chelsea have seen an opening offer worth £55 million for Caicedo rejected with Brighton reportedly keen on selling the midfielder for £75million this January.

Jacobs told GiveMeSport: “The desire of the player to join Chelsea or Liverpool is no real secret; he’s looking for his next move.

“And Brighton are usually very understanding when a player wants to go. But we have to be clear here that Brighton will get a deal done on their terms if anything happens in January.”

Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi has recently revealed he cannot guarantee that Caicedo will finish the season with Brighton amid interest from Chelsea.

“He is very important for us, it would be difficult to change with another player now,’ De Zerbi said.

“I hope he finishes the season with us, but you know in the transfer market it is always difficult to give you one answer.”

Caicedo still has two and a half years left to run on his current Seagulls contract.
