RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner has revealed he has no regrets choosing to join Chelsea and snubbing a move to Bayern Munich.
Werner left RB Leipzig for Chelsea in 2020 and returned to Leipzig last summer.
Werner said: “I think the way you go is always the right one in the end.
“So far I would have had two trainers with Bavaria who would have been very good for me: Hansi Flick, with whom I get along well. And Julian Nagelsmann, my former RB trainer. But I think it’s good not to regret.
“Do not misjudge my time at Stamford Bridge.
“I finally won the Champions League at Chelsea. And privately I met a lot of great people, found friends. In the end, I was no longer part of the coach’s plan at the time. You have to accept that and find a way for yourself to deal with it.”
