Premier League rivals Arsenal are in advanced negotiations with Brighton to sign Chelsea transfer target Leandro Trossard, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Romano tweeted: “Arsenal have opened talks to sign Leandro Trossard from Brighton, negotiations are advanced with official bid ready for permanent move.

“Personal terms already agreed — talks will continue to get deal done soon.”

Trossard’s current deal at Brighton expires in the summer but Brighton have an option to extend it for another season.
