Chelsea boss Graham Potter has confirmed Chelsea midfielder Denis Zakaria is out injured for four weeks.
Zakaria played alongside Kovacic in Chelsea’s midfield against Fulham but lasted 56 minutes before being withdrawn.
Tests have revealed a moderate quadricep injury for the Switzerland international.
Speaking to reporters after Sunday’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, Potter confirmed that Zakaria would be forced to miss the rest of this month as Chelsea’s injury crisis worsens.
“Denis is going to be [out for] four weeks, top of his quad, so that’s a blow for us. Hopefully, he can be sooner,” Potter told a press conference.
