Mykhailo Mudryk has finalised his move from Shakhtar Donetsk to Chelsea after agreeing personal terms with the club.

The 22 year old winger was priority transfer target for Arsenal before he sealed a move to Chelsea.

Reacting to Mudryk snubbing Arsenal to join Chelsea, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta told Sky Sports: “I am very proud to have the players we have. We always want to try to improve the squad.

“The club are the first to try and improve the players we have. We have to have some discipline and be consistent in the targets we have. We can make the players better – let’s focus on that.”

After completing his move to Chelsea, Mudryk said: “I’m so happy to sign for Chelsea.

“This is a huge club, in a fantastic league and it is a very attractive project for me at this stage of my career. I’m excited to meet my new team-mates and I’m looking forward to working and learning under Graham Potter and his staff.”
