Chelsea agree €100m deal for attacker. Player to sign 7 year contract with Chelsea

Chelsea have agreed a €100million deal with Shakhtar Donetsk to sign Mykhailo Mudryk and hijack Arsenal’s move for the winger, according to The Athletic.

Chelsea representatives travelled to Turkey to hold face-to-face talks with Shakhtar Donetsk, where the Ukrainian club are holding a training camp.

Chelsea will pay a fixed fee of €70million (£62m), with a further €30m (£26.5m) in add-ons. Mudryk will sign a seven-year contract with Chelsea.

Shakhtar have also confirmed they have reached an agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of Mudryk.

A statement from Shakhtar read: “FC Shakhtar president Rinat Akhmetov and Chelsea co-owner Behdad Eghbali discussed Mykhailo Mudryk’s transfer to Chelsea FC today.

“Parties are very close to agree on player’s transfer to the club.”

Mudryk caught the eye in the Champions League group stages with three goals and two assists in his six matches.
