The pressure on Chelsea manager Graham Potter is growing after just one win in the last eight Premier League matches following Thursday’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Mason Mount missed the game against Manchester City after suffering an injury in training while Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic had to be substituted in the first-half due to injuries.

Potter revealed after the defeat to Manchester City that he liked the courage and competitiveness Chelsea showed against Manchester City.

Potter said: “I liked what we tried to do against a top side. We were competitive and had spirit on the pitch, courage in attack and took responsibility at the back.

“Apart from the result, as we hate to lose, I’m proud of the players.”
