Chelsea are set to announce the transfer of Monaco centre-back Benoit Badiashile, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Badiashile has completed his Chelsea medical and all documents for the transfer of the defender have finally been signed by both clubs.

AS Monaco will reportedly receive €38million from Chelsea for the transfer of Badiashile and the Blues are now set to make an official statement on the transfer.

Romano said: “Understand all documents have been finally signed for Benoît Badiashile to become new Chelsea player. Official statement, next step.

“Badiashile already completed medical tests in London earlier this week. The deal is 100% sealed. AS Monaco will receive around €38m.”

Badiashile made his Ligue 1 debut for the Monaco in 2018 aged just 17 and went on to make 20 appearances in his inaugural campaign with the club.

Since then Badiashile has made a total of 135 appearances for Monaco, and was part of the team that reached the French Cup final in 2021.
