Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Mykhailo Mudryk but the Shakhtar Donetsk winger prefers a move to Arsenal.
According to Simon Phillips, Mudryk ‘has his heart set’ on joining Arsenal. Phillips believes Shakhtar Donetsk are using Chelsea’s interest to get more money from Arsenal.
Arsenal’s latest offer for the Shakhtar Donetsk star is £62million, but is still well below the Ukrainian side’s asking price.
Phillips told GiveMeSport: “Chelsea hold an interest, but the feeling from sources is he has his heart set on joining Arsenal, and we expect that to happen.
“It feels a bit like Chelsea could be being used to get Arsenal to pay up for him, but that’s my opinion.”
Mudryk has found the back of the net 10 times for Shakhtar Donetsk this season and has provided 8 assists.
