Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly has admitted the 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest means Chelsea are facing a tall order to finish in the top four.

The Blues have just 25 points from 16 games. Chelsea have already suffered five defeats, won seven, and managed four draws this season.

While Koulibaly admits the 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest has dented Chelsea’s hopes of finishing in the top four, he is refusing to accept it is out of reach.

“It’s going to be a big challenge [to finish in the top four] but we like a challenge and we always believe in ourselves,” Koulibaly told Chelsea’s official website.

“We have to embrace it, we have to believe in ourselves and work hard to improve. We will get ready to face Man City, which will be a tough game but we will do everything to win this match and move forward.”

Koulibaly, 31, joined Chelsea from Napoli at the start of the season but is yet to convince Chelsea fans with his performances.
