Ahead of Chelsea vs Manchester City clash at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta has delivered a warning to his Chelsea teammates.
Chelsea dropped two points at Nottingham Forest on Thursday following our 1-1 draw and are now 7 points behind 4th place Manchester United.
Azpilicueta has warned his Chelsea teammates that the Blues need to start winning games starting with Thursday’s Premier League game against Manchester City.
“Every point matters and of course today we lost two points,” Azpilicueta said.
“That’s clear and since the beginning of the season we have lost too many points and now we are really far from where we want to be. Every game we don’t win is a chance that we miss, but this is the reality.
“When you see the table that’s where we are and we need to have a very good second half of the season if we want to achieve Champions League qualification for next season. This is the reality that we face and we have to stick together.
“We know that it’s not the most pleasant time but in these difficult moments we need everybody to stick together, to work hard to improve. To be humble, to see ourselves, to analyse ourselves and where we can do better.
“We have a massive game against Manchester City at the Bridge but we need to start winning points.”
thank you captain for you advise.. I so much like it and it touches me
Does the captain himself play well? He can’t move ball like James.
There’s nothing helpful here Azpiliqueta, as long as you’re working under a Clueless potter an average coach who looks too small in the club with poor tactics, there’s nothing you will going to achieve only to frustrate us with awful results…… potter should be sacked today I think club is bigger than individuals and want Chelsea’s philosophy to continue
