Chelsea are ready to hijack Arsenal’s bid for the Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhailo Mudryk, according to The Guardian.

The Gunners have been interested in the Ukraine international since the summer, with their most recent bid of £55 million ($66.4m) being rejected.

Shakhtar Donetsk reportedly want a fee of around £85million for the transfer of the 21 year old winger.

Mudryk, a quick and tricky winger, impressed for the Ukrainian club during the group stage of the Champions League and has also dazzled at international level.

He scored three goals and provided two assists for Shakhtar Donetsk during the group stage of the Champions League this season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea transfer target Youssoufa Moukoko has decided to join Spanish side Barcelona next summer, according to Spanish media outlet Sport.

Moukoko’s Borussia Dortmund contract is set to expire next summer and the 18 year old forward has reportedly decided to move to Barcelona as a free agent despite interest from Chelsea.

Comfortable on either wing or in the centre-forward position, Moukoko has scored 11 Bundesliga goals in 44 appearances so far, having been prolific previously at youth level.

With Chelsea striker Armando Broja out for the rest of the season, the Blues were reportedly keen on signing Moukoko in January to boost Graham Potter’s attacking options.
