Aston Villa manager Unai Emery is desperate to sell World Cup winner and Chelsea transfer target Emiliano Martinez, according to Fichajes.
Chelsea boss Graham Potter is reportedly not convinced about Chelsea goalkeepers Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy. The Blues have identified Martinez as a possible replacement.
Emery does not want to work with the 30-year-old Argentina goalkeeper at Aston Villa and is keen for his sale ahead of the January transfer window.
Martinez starred as Argentina won the World Cup, beating France in a penalty shootout in the final. He was also named the best goalkeeper of the World Cup.
Emery is believed to be unimpressed with his temperament and wants him out of Villa Park.
Sevilla’s Yassine Bounou, who also starred at the World Cup for Morocco, has been touted as a potential replacement.
