Italian club AC Milan are unwilling to meet Hakim Ziyech’s salary demands, according to media outlet Calciomercato.
Ziyech has been on AC Milan’s radar for quite some time now, but the Moroccan’s high wage demands might force the Rossoneri to withdraw their interest.
Ziyech, who impressed at the World Cup with Morocco, is keen on leaving Chelsea in January after falling to get regular game time at the club.
The 29 year old Chelsea forward had been linked with a January move to AC Milan but the Italian side are unwilling to meet the salary demands of Ziyech, who wants to earn €7-8 million-a-year at San Siro.
Meanwhile, Spanish side Real Madrid are reportedly ready to battle Chelsea for the transfer of RB Leipzig defender and Croatian international Josko Gvardiol.
According to Marca, Real Madrid have discussed signing Gvardiol for a long time and could push for a deal to be done for the defender.
Gvardiol is considered one of the brightest prospects in world football, after an impressive 18 months at German side RB Leipzig since joining from Dinamo Zagreb in his homeland.
The 20 year old defender was one of the stars of the World Cup, playing a key role as Croatia came third in the World Cup.
