Manchester City have suffered a huge injury blow with their key defender Ruben Dias ruled out for up to a month.
According to Daily Mail, Dias suffered the thigh injury during Portugal’s last-16 victory over Switzerland but continued to play during the tournament.
The central defender remained on the pitch for the full 90 minutes as Portugal were dumped out by Morocco four days later and has not trained with City since his return from Qatar.
Dias, who is one of City’s five captains, will miss City’s next five games after their 3-2 win over Liverpool in the Carabao Cup including a Premier League clash against Chelsea and also a FA Cup game against Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos has agreed to join Chelsea after rejecting Premier League rivals Manchester City and Newcastle United, according to Brazilian football expert Bruno Andrade.
